This standard bee escape (Porter style) allows you to remove bees out of the supper boxes for honey extraction and is the most common and recognized version of all bee escapes.

The escape fits on the center hole of most inner cover models. The hole has to be at least 1 1/4″ by 2 5/8″ (you may need to file the inner cover hole to fit the base of the bee escape).

You need to place this bee escape underneath the boxes (supers) that contain the frames you would like to extract from the hive.

The escape is about 1 5/8″ wide, 4 1/4″ long and 3.8″ high.
