This wooden 3″ spacer fits 10-frame boxes. Comes fully assembled

Similar to the 1 1/2″ spacer, it has many uses, as increasing space to add insulation or food at the top of the hive.

The 3″ spacer is sometimes used to make quilt boxes, by attaching a piece of cloth to the bottom and adding dry leaves, wood shavings, or some other kind of moisture absorbent substance on top. It’s also used to make candy boards by adding a 1/4″ hardware metal mesh to the bottom (so the bees can go through ti) and adding candy or other feed on top of it.

Just another tool in the beekeeper toolbox. Once you have it, you will find a use for it.
